By and large, the number one concern my clients would like to address about their skin is around their eye area. Specifically, bags/puffiness, and/or dark circles.
I’m right there you. As someone chronically dehydrated and perpetually exhausted, my “designer baggies” as I like to call them, need a lot of help.

The first thing you need to do is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. The skin around your eyes has the fewest moisture glands of your whole face, so it needs extra hydration. Twice daily, after cleansing and moisturizing, be sure to apply an eye cream (pat with your ring finger to prevent rubbing, tugging, and pulling that causes fine lines and wrinkles).
Because my eye bags are the most severe in the morning, I use a soothing eye gel in the morning that reduces puffiness, tones skin, and adds hydration. In the evening, I use an anti-aging eye cream that in addition to helping with puffiness, also helps to prevent and reduce fine lines & wrinkles, as well as reduces dark circles with a skin brightener.
For those mornings that your eye bags are especially bagging, instead of your every day eye gel or cream, reach for ultra-hydrating eye patches to dramatically reduce puffiness and dullness. A cup of coffee (or if you’re like me, a can of soda) and 20 minutes with your hydrogel eye patches, and you’ll be ready to conquer the world.
Ok, so we’ve hydrated. Let’s talk dark circles.

After applying my foundation in the morning, I use an under-eye corrector to brighten up the eye area. And believe me, it’s like a magic wand that makes me look FAR more awake than I actually am. This under-eye corrector is like a concealer, but it’s a peachy shade designed specifically to cancel out the blue-purple tones of under eye circles.
A little dab will do ya with this. A dot in the inner corner, middle, and outer corner is all you need. Pro tip: let the product sit on your skin a moment to warm up before blending together to prevent smearing or looking cakey.
You might feel like you’re ready to fall over exhausted, but you certainly don’t have to look like it. Keep those beautiful eyes looking alert!
